Mental Health Day

So today is Mental Health Day… but what exactly is mental health?

Mental health is to look after your mind, your mental wellbeing and emotions.

We have looked at different techniques that might help us when feeling: anxious, unhappy, upset, angry, frustrated, nervous or worried. Take a look at our comments below.

  1. My favourite was the finger pull because I think that it made me feel more comfortable and relaxing. As well as the finger pull I also liked the others.

  2. The one that worked best for me was visualisation, I felt as though I was in bed, sleeping happily and calmly, this one in my opinion would work best when you get in an argument at home,

  3. I thought that the one where you have to imagine something to help you calm down was the best thing because when I’m angry with my brother I get really annoyed it made me feel really nice and forgot about every thing else

  4. I really enjoyed the finger pull about how your worries travel around your body and that your muscles are stretched and you just let go and it’s gone.

  5. I liked all of these stress free activities but my favourite was the finger pull where we had to pull our hands together to stop the stress. Harry

  6. My favourite one was the finger pull because it helped me relax. It might help me when I am playing football also it made me feel less stressful than the others.

  7. The first activity that me did calmed we down a lot because we breathed in and out. The fourth one made me feel like i was lying on a memory foam mattress.

  8. My favourite was the finger pull because I think that it made me feel more comfortable and relaxing than the rest. I think it would be useful when your stressed on the playground and you want to hit someone but of you did the finger pull it would force all the negative energy out of you.

  9. I think the visualisation worked best for me. You relax close your eyes and think of something relaxing this made me feel warm inside cosy as well.

  10. I liked the second one because i can channel my anger and nerves.I might use it tonight because I’m playing for the school team.

  13. The first thing that we done today as the bubble , we had to breathe in and out which really helped….the next thing that we done was physical relaxation witch was my favourite one we had to get in a comfy position and imagine that we were in the comfiest bed in the world.

  14. The technique that worked best for me is the finger pull because it relives me of stress .To do it you need to put your hands together and point your fingers in opposite direction and pull but not to much so you hurt yourself.It made me feel calm and relaxed.

  15. Mental Heath day is a time to think about your feelings and take time to breath and look after your mind.my favourite session was the one wear you draw a picture in your mind.
